Using two fabric colors and three strips, Eleanor made this
lovely Crib Quilt in Batiks. With her cutaways, she stitched
the wallhanging and the tablerunner!
Believe it or not, this pattern is not new. The Day and Night
block was published by Old Chelsea Station Needlecraft Service,
a mail-order company begun in 1933.
When Michelle was asked to paper-piece blocks for a block
exchange, she set out to discover an easier way by sewing sets
of strips together, and cutting them up into triangles with a
special triangle ruler. The result is magical!
Left-handers will love the left-hand instructions for cutting.
